London Destination Consultant
Marianne’s original career was in the catering and retail industries.
She received a superb grounding at the prestigious Le Gavroche restaurant, and later moved to British Airways, working on Concorde and Queen’s Flight.
Her associations with Francophone cultures (she trained in dressage in Switzerland as well as working for Le Gavroche), allowed her to further her career with Tie Rack, the accessories chain. She progressed from a sales assistant up to Country Manager, helping to set up and run 15 shops across France.
She later trained as a beauty therapist and for 20 years ran her own business, during which time she married and had a family. Now with older children, she has decided to develop a new career path as a destination consultant utilising her extensive knowledge of London and the South East and her talents in research and client liaison. She joined Going-There in 2010 and works primarily across London and the Home counties
