Shanghai Destination Consultant

Robyn first moved to Shanghai in 2001 and has lived there continuously ever since. She initially worked on an expatriate publication and later worked (from China) for an Israeli company.
Holder of dual South African-Israeli nationality, she was a literature graduate of Tel Aviv University. After a period in teaching, she founded her own company, manufacturing eco-friendly pencils from nature, transforming tree twigs and branches into colorful pens and pencils. Robyn then spent time with a tour operator, before moving into conference organization.
As such, she has great experience of working across sectors and with the time demands of organizing people and places. She was a natural destination consultant and has proved highly effective in assisting families moving to Shanghai.
‘Shanghai is so different to everywhere else,’ she says. ‘The crowds, colors, strange foods, language. Newcomers really need the support of someone who knows their way around, knows the local housing scene, and can help get you settled quickly.’
She looks forward to meeting you on your first days in China.
