Meet Emily

Paris Destination Consultant

Some people choose their locations wisely, and Emily is one of them. Emily chose to do her postgraduate studies in the beautiful town of Amherst, Massachusetts, before moving on to the vibrancy of New York for further studies in arts and filmmaking. Now, less than half-a-dozen years on, she lives in the equally magical French capital, Paris.

She has worked previously in art galleries, for independent film production companies, in education, and finally with a film she herself helped to create. ‘A media career sounds glamorous,’ she tell us, ‘but a lot of the actual working time is spent doing what is familiar in other companies – staying organized, focussing on client needs, and marketing.’

She has lived in Paris for two years. ‘Most people are awed by Paris because of its beauty,’ she tells us, ‘but moving here involves a host of intricate details, from sorting out leases and heavy bureaucracy, to understanding Parisians who make few allowances for those still adapting to the language.’

When Emily is not hunting down the best apartment for her relocation clients, (in the best neighborhoods, bien sûr!) she works as a freelance television producer for the only english language news channel in Paris. 'While everyone knows the City of Lights is long lauded as a haven for artists, gourmands and romantics, Emily insists that it can also be a great place to raise a family, you just have to know where to look.'

She looks forward to helping you adapt to this historical city.
