Much of
Kathryn’s work to date has been in the production and writing of multi-media projects, both on a freelance basis and within the private sector.
A graduate of Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, she spent a period working for Alcan Aluminium before moving into multi-media. Becoming the senior production executive for Stonehaven (a bilingual company engaged in business communications), she was accountable for all aspects of production management as well as client contact. After a decade in employment, she branched out into freelance consultancy, establishing a successful career path throughout the 2000s.
One of her roles in Alcan was assisting almost 300 expatriates in 30 countries. She wrote a brochure and produced a video to help prepare employees and their families for both the adjustments abroad and the process of re-entry to Canada. This has given her a valuable grounding in relocation.
