Ildiko, who is fluent in English and Hungarian, has the type of multinational experience vital to a Destination Consultant. As well as Budapest, she has lived and worked in Canada and the USA. She also has a keen knowledge of housing and the Budapest property market.
She graduated originally as a Medical Technologist in Toronto. After a period working in a hospital neurology department she decided to change direction, and became a licensed real estate agent. Throughout the 1990s she worked in property management and as marketing Vice President of a condominiums developer.
Settled in 2002 in Budapest, where she is married with a child, she feels truly at home. ‘Although I am obviously under the seductive spell of the city,’ she says, ‘I do remember the initial confusion and uneasiness of relocating. I appreciate the great value a real insider can be to the newly arrived.’
