Brussels Destination Consultant
Tener has plenty of experience to draw upon in her role as Brussels Destination Consultant – she worked as a Human Resources consultant in the US, and is a licensed real estate agent in Virginia. Most of her life was spent in Virginia until she relocated to Europe with her family.
A graduate in business management, she has worked across a wide corporate sector, from marketing, insurance brokerage, communications and, finally, real estate. She is accustomed to working with all levels of assignment and is a shrewd lease negotiator.
The difficulties she identifies in moving to Belgium are cracking the language codes (it is a two-language country, though English is widely understood), coping with the unfamiliar bureaucracy, finding a home and becoming orientated to the highly fluid society. 'I've heard that 1/3 of the people living in Brussels are expatriates), and that is an extraordinary number!”
